Unfortunately, InDesign is not very smart. It does not understand the words or the language. It can only find types of characters, using GREP.

For example, if I write “hola amigo” and “hello friend” then InDesign has no way to understand that the first one is Spanish and the second one is English. They are all just “latin” characters.

So you can find “Chinese characters” or “Hebrew characters” but that is all. If your Indonesian is written using latin characters, then InDesign has no way to tell what is what.
