You can see bookmarks more easily if you select the story and choose Edit > Edit in Story Editor.
I’m not sure why Word would be putting all those bookmarks in there. You may be able to find a way to remove them in Word before importing.
If you want to delete the bookmarks, you should be able to do that in the panel easily.
