Having the exact same issue. I am using Adobe InDesign CC 2019. Had the file open yesterday. It’s only 5.1 MB. Tried to open it today and get the same error, “CANNOT OPEN THE FILE “XXXXXX.INDD” Adobe Indesign may not support the file format, a plug-in that supports the file format may be missing, or the file maybe open in another application”.

I have a brand new 2019 iMac with OS 10.14.3 Mojave, 4.2 GHz Intel Core i7, and 32 GB 2400 MHz DDR4. I have restarted machine, tried opening a copy, tried opening it on my old machine, etc. FAIL! And it is giving me an error on all of the files in that whole folder now too.

I am super frustrated!
