Pariah S. Burke is the publisher of the Web sites QuarkVSInDesign.com and Designorati.com, the author of Adobe Illustrator CS2 @ Work, and co-author of Special Edition: Using Creative Suite 2. He has more than 15 years experience in graphic design, publication layout, prepress, and advertising, and is the former Technical Lead for InDesign, InCopy, Illustrator, and Acrobat to Adobe’s technical support team. Currently he brings Creative Suite applications, QuarkXPress, and other creative tools and methodologies for professional print design and publication to agencies and studios all over North America as an accomplished instructor, consultant, and creative workflow optimizer.

Sandee Cohen. After a career in advertising, Sandee Cohen began teaching computer graphics over sixteen years ago. She has taught for New York University, New School University, the University of Hawaii, City College in New York, as well as many private organizations. A dynamic and entertaining speaker, she has been a frequent participant at The InDesign Conference, Seybold Seminars, and Macworld Expo. She is the co-author of Real World Creative Suite 2, which covers how all the applications in the Creative Suite work together. She is the author of the InDesign Visual QuickStart Guide?the only book to have covered all versions of InDesign. She is also the author of books on Acrobat, Illustrator, FreeHand, and Fireworks. She is the senior contributing editor to InDesign Magazine where her column, InQuestion, answers reader’s questions.

Rufus Deuchler is a communication designer who has always been fascinated by technology capable of assisting creative processes. Rufus is an Adobe Certified Expert – Print Specialist (InDesign, Illustrator and Acrobat) and Adobe Cross-Media Guru for Italy since 2002. He consults and trains on Adobe software and workflows to the publishing industry; is the author of interactive courses and magazine articles; and acts as the coordinator of the Italian InDesign User Group. Rufus also teaches graphic design to US students, and has been doing this for over ten years. Rufus says that InDesign has changed the way he works, teaches and thinks.

Claudia McCue incorporates more than 20 years of traditional and digital prepress production experience in her current incarnation as a consultant, trainer, and author devoted to the graphic arts industry. Claudia’s company, Practicalia LLC, provides custom onsite training for a national client base of design firms, printing companies and marketing professionals. She is the author of Real World Print Production (Peachpit Press, 2006), and a frequent presenter at industry conferences.

Michael Murphy has crossed the line between design, production, and software training throughout his career. A graphic designer with nearly 20 years experience, Michael has transitioned from mechanical paste-up through PageMaker, QuarkXPress, and now InDesign — which he considers the most powerful tool ever to be added to his design arsenal. Currently the art director for a national monthly trade magazine, Michael is an Adobe Certified Expert in InDesign CS2 who has written for InDesign Magazine and presented before the New York and Milwuakee InDesign User Groups.

Steve Werner is a trainer, consultant, and co-author (with David Blatner and Christopher Smith) of InDesign for QuarkXPress Users and Moving to InDesign. He has worked in the graphic arts industry for more than 20 years and was the training manager for ten years at Rapid Lasergraphics. He has taught computer graphics classes since 1988.
