Rachel Aubrey is a design educator and active design consultant. Since 2016, she has been a Teaching Professor at Syracuse University’s School of Design in the Communications Design program. Rachel’s pragmatic approach to design ideation and processes emphasizes clarity and the transformation of creative concepts into engaging visual narratives. Her dedication to fostering understanding and effective communication equips her students—and the professionals she designs for and consults—with the skills needed to thrive at the intersection of design and business.
Prior to teaching, Rachel's 15-year design industry career was based in NYC and included various creative roles within in-house design departments and specialty firms. She earned her B.F.A. in Graphic Design from the New York Institute of Technology, and her expertise spans creative strategy, problem-solving, and impactful visual communication. Throughout her career, Rachel has delivered compelling work for a diverse array of clients, ranging from innovative start-ups to Fortune 500 companies, including Colgate Palmolive, CBRE, and J.P. Morgan.
