As if Adobe didn’t make a big enough splash with their Creative Cloud bombshell this week at MAX, they also revealed that they’ve been hard at work in the hardware realm as well. Two new devices were unveiled that will offer users the ability to draw, save, and sync assets between devices.
The first device is a the cloud-connected stylus code named Project Mighty.
You can draw with the pen on a tablet, similar any other stylus.
Gestures allow you to erase, undo, and redo. But the real twist comes from a button on the pen that gives access to a toolset on the tablet screen, Kuler color themes, and a Cloud clipboard that allows you to browse through assets stored in the Cloud, and drop them into the current drawing.
The other piece of new hardware is code named “Napoleon” because it’s a short ruler (insert groan here). The ruler projects a digital lines and arcs onto the tablet screen which can be traced to help users draw very accurately and consistently.
