Jim, I’m glad I was able to steer you in the right direction, and that you got it figured out.

Bob–I always thought the folder had to be “Document fonts” as well (exactly as typed [except for the quotes]). But I’ve noticed that in the later versions of InDesign that “Documents Fonts” seems to work. I don’t know when it was changed. But “Document Fonts” does work in CC2017. I just tried it again.
