I have an InDesign file from a designer who has placed multiple pdf’s inside the file. Most are ok, but 2 of them are erring with registration color being found within them. Since I can’t find anything else in the file, I’m guessing they cropped a pdf that had registration marks, but they are still showing up since Acrobat doesn’t really get rid of what is cropped out.

So, how do I permanently delete the cropped out area in an existing pdf using Acrobat Pro DC?

I hate to run any color conversion in case it alters any of the other colors in the file.

      Thanks.

Thanks Masood, but none of those suggestions worked. I’m guessing they are for older versions of Acrobat. I tried each of them, but each time I place the PDF, the crop and registration marks still show up.

I am using the most recent versions of all the software, the 2015.5 updates.

I finally found it! Sharing in case anyone else needs to do so.
      For Acrobat Pro DC version:
Crop your document to remove crop marks, registration marks, anything else outside the image area.
Choose Tools > Redact, and then select Remove Hidden Information.
Acrobat searches for any hidden info, and lists it to the left of the main window.
Make sure check marks are in boxes for anything you want to remove, and then click on remove.
      File > Save.
Registration and crop marks are now gone, and the file does not throw an error of finding a four color black!!
