Excel data in to table

      I Have a large price list, 28 indesign pages, which is an excel placed file and styled.

      I need to amend a column of prices frequently.

      When I paste in new column from excel, Indesign creates another blank column next to my price column.

      No big deal to delete, just wondered if anyone has any ideas/answers why.
