Hi I have a quation about footnote. In the previous month I design one book that has different kind of footnote. Some of the footnote like (*) and some (1,2,3…..). the problem is when I do caracters like * and numbers 1,2 in one page, but I already use another trick like changing the colours typing the footnote. so can we do on the same page caracter footnote and at the same time numbers?.
My second question is I need to make colour for the footnote numbers only both above and below but not text can we do this also?

If you mean can you use characters such as * and numbers at the same time, I believe the answer is no. You have to use either footnote characters or numbers.

So far as the footnote numbers (the text callouts) and the actual footnote number–yes–you can make it a color. You would have to use character styles sheets and nesting.

Hi About the footnote colours I did it by using caracter styles and paragraph styles so that no need to chenge one by one the colours authomatically change when I insert footnotes. Thanks again
