I asked Kris Coppieters of Rorohiko Software if he would write me a script that would automatically build a color palette showing squares of color with the swatch name and color formula for all of the colors in an InDesign document’s swatches panel.
The result was Swatch Watch, and it works great! Instead of charging me for the script, Kris decided to use it as a case study to advertise his custom scripting services. So, you can get the script for free here (along with a brief sales pitch for his services):

The need for this script arose because I have often received files from clients that have been converted from old Quark files, or PDFs, or combined from multiple files, and you end up with several colors that are very similar but not the same, or you have both PMS and CMYK versions of a similar color but you don’t know what the color values are that are being used. So, this script is a great way to see what is in the document and make sure the colors are set to the correct values. It even works with RGB and Mixed-Ink swatches.
