script customized button action / have countup timer

      Hello,

      I am exploring Indesign as low level prototyping tool. And i can achieve most of the things i want to do with its standard toolset.
      About some things I am thinking if it could be done with an indesign javascript. I would need a way to activate an action by pressing a key on the keyboard.
      Is it possible to script a customized button action that listens to a keypress to activate e.g. a “next state” action (without previously focusing the button object)?

      This behavior should be exportable to swf.

      Another thing is that i would like to simulate an countup timer. Starting after e.g. a buttonpress an running for about half a minute.

      Also this behavior should be exportable to swf.
