      Hi guys!

Would be great if someone could help me with this! When I export my document to PDF I get this weird text overlapping error (see screenshots below). It happens at random places all through the document…

Probably due to a corrupt document. This happened me recently and it was due to the Master Pages being corrputed.

I deleted the Master Pages and recreated them, then reapplied them to the necessary pages and it fixed it.

If that doesn't work, then I would consider making a new document and copying and pasting all the stuff into a new document.

The other thing you might consider is try exporting the PDF in batches, say half the file first, then the other half. See if that still brings up the error. If it's only on one half, then keep dividing that in half exporting to PDF. Perhaps that will track down the rogue page with the corruption.

But I do think creating a new document with new master pages and copying the text to the new file will solve the issue.

      Thanks for the answer.

Deleteing Master pages didn't work, nor did splitting in 2.

If i copy / paste each page I loose all the threading in the new document right? And can just 1 rogue page cause these problems throughout the whole document?

This may have nothing to do with the problem, but in all instances shown, the overlapping occurs after the German ß. Not always, but strange happenings and fonts are no strangers.

I'd see what happens when a) the font is changed, or b) the character is removed.

And of course, do your testing on a copy of the document.
