Using the winforms barcode generator could helps you to approach this. It will convert fixed data to barcodes in your applications. You may find demo easily online.

what sort of barcodes do you want to create? Where do you want to export the barcode symbols? You may need a barcode font.

The barcode generator you linked to is (quote from site)

.NET Barcode for Windows Forms is a .NET Control library package that generates linear and 2D barcodes symbologies in C# or VB.NET Windows Applications.

This is an InDesign forum, so I suppose the man needs it for an InDesign job!

I like the plug-ins from Teacup Software, which can make both 1D and 2D (qr) codes:

[Note: I do have a small business relationship with Teacup. But I'm serious that I think these tools are awesome.]

The barcode plug-in from TeacupSoftware.com (see my post above) requires only InDesign and the plug-in to make EAN-13 and many other barcodes.

Also a fan of some of the InDesign plugins as they are a lot easier to integrate with the system. CS6 has a good framework and a lot of companies are able to produce barcode plug-ins that work perfectly.

Why do you need a barcode generator? I use the barcode font “3 of 9 barcode” With a * before and after your itemnumber. It creates the start and stop lines that are a bit thicker.

asking about “converting numbers into barcode symbols” – we need more information. What kind of barcode does the OP need? UPC, EAN, royal mail, code39 or code128? perhaps qrcodes?

I'd recommend a look at this site: https://idautomation.com/ and have a look at the support tab and find out which barcode is suitable for the purpose.

As Iberntsen mentioned in his post, a “3 of 9” barcode with * before/after the number works well if the OP wants to use the code39 barcode. google the word “free3of9.ttf”

I heard about these code generators (kwiqrlink). I didn't work with these 3DS QR Codes yet. I am in search for the best code generators. I am facing some problems with my code generating system. As it is an older one and is not working properly. The feed back provided in the post is really very nice and the features of the code generator is also very effective. Are there any offers provided in these code generators?

You should first figure out which barcode generation library you want to use, like ASP.NET, NET WinForms and so on. Meantime, you need to know what barcode type do you need.

The BizCode Barcode Generator for ASP.NET provides various methods to create different barcodes.

      Hope it helps!

      To insert barcode:

Fiirst, choose the barcode type according to the data you want to encode in the data string. Eg. to encode numeric only data, choose UPC or EAN codes, or encode large amout of data, choose 2D barcodes. etc.

Second, choose the platform you want to encode barcodes, .NET App, Java, or report solution, excel or word, etc.

Third, search online for free barcode generator with tutorial and sample codes.

Encode barcodes follow the steps. Hope this helps.

.NET barcode generating component is just one of many but I note it because it has details guide for barcode generation in ASP.NET & Windows applications. It supports most common linear & 2d barcodes.

Now I am using C# barcode generator for Windows Forms and I also use VB.NET to create barcode in WinForms. If you want create barcode, firstly you should know what platform would you like to create barcode in.
