I’ve made a brochure in InDes and being new to this software need to ask experienced professionals whether I am doing this the correct way.

      The brochure is 12 pages.

I added 4 extra extra pages:
2 for the front cover and its blank inner side
2 for the back cover and its blank inner side

So the total number of pages is 16.

Pages marked with R are right and ones marked with L are left ones.
First page (right) is the front cover of the brochure.
Second page (left) is left blank – it is the inside of the cover
Followed 12 pages are the actual body of the brochure,
Page 13(right) is left blank because it is the inside of the back cover
Page 14(left) is the back cover

My big question: Is it the correct way to make the layout for this brochure and most importantly – is this layout OK tp be submitted to pre-press?

Thank you for any competent advise!

      Yes that is perfectly fine.

Always do the layout as you would read it.

Notice that all the even pages are on the left. And all the odd pages are on the right.

That's how you layout in InDesign.

Make sure you have Facing Pages ticked in Document Setup.
