A client supplied a 4 page document that it was not created using facing pages. I want to move all pages to a brand new doc. with facing pages but when I do that the fonts becomes missing (highlighted in pink). Is there any way to achieve this & why is this happening.

      Thanks

Sounds like the fonts are specific to the document and located in the 'Document Fonts' folder within the project's folder. If that is the case they won't show as activated in your new document as InDesign now loads such fonts only for the doc they are related to. Have you tried to activate them with a font manager? That ought to solve your problem.

Why don't you just go to File>Document Setup and tick the Facing Pages option?

Before opening InDesign I temporary loaded the client fonts using Universal Type font manager & then I tried to change the client document to Facing pages but InDesign doesn't let me to have a page next to the other even if I change the section number. That's why I'm trying to copy or move the pages to a new document with facing pages

OK I tried again & tick the Facing pages option & all pages shifted a little but it worked. The client doc has odd & weird bleeds. I draw some guides that helped me to position everything in the correct place. Thanks Eugene :-)

Im still curious why if I need to paste the contents into another doc. why I'm getting the pink highligthed text if the fonts are loaded in the font manager

This kind of thing has happened to me before when the paragraph style is [Basic Paragraph] or based on [Basic Paragraph]. If the two documents have different [Basic Paragraph] definitions, you have the potential of running into missing fonts, etc. I would check your style definitions.
