What David said. EPUB does not support 2-col text formatting. Do you want it to? How readable will the text in your 2 columns be when someone's reading the book on an iPhone?

EPUB 3 spec should be able to support 2-col text but the same design considerations would need to be made.

In the meantime you can create a 2-col table, but remember that some ereaders choke when they need to break a row between page views.

Why does it need to be 2-col? I'm just curious. What's the content? Or is it that the author/publisher whatever wants the same layout for epub as for print/PDF?
