We use Microsoft Excel documents (assembly sheets) to keep track of the number of black and white pages, color pages and blank pages in order to keep a running tab of costs expected to be associated with a project. Currently, you need to manually type in each page number, then type a “1” in the appropriate column for whether that page is blank, B&W, or color. Surely there is a better way. Is there a way to export the information about the respective page and the page number itself into an Excel document? Also, we use InDesign CS4, but have access to CS5. Even if it means temporarily importing it into CS5 to get that info, it could save hours when we are working with these thousand page documents.

Thank you for your help forum readers! :)
