Reply To: cmd H vs crtl H (switching form PC to Mac)

It's a great question and something that has bothered many people for years. For some reason the Command-H “Hide” shortcut is not available in the Keyboard system preferences pane, so you can't disable it there. The only way I have found to disable Command-H is to use a third-party utility such as iKey, which lets you remap your keyboard shortcuts.

Somehow iKey (and perhaps other utilities, such as QuicKeys?) captures the cmd-H before the mac OS does, so it seems to work.
