Reply To: ID CS5 created text is displayed thicker on one page (no transparency flattening!)

Yea, if I turn off the text smoothing then it is displayed in the same font weight on both sides. But does that explain why it is being displayed correct on one page and incorrect on the next? Even if it is because of the display preferences I am going to send it to a prepress company for an internship and I have no influence on their display preferences. And it would look amateurish if I would flatten the PDF for onscreen.

All I know for sure is that the issue has to do with the transparency from the tiff for some reason (Doesn't solve the problem with a PSD either).

And just right now the strangest thing happened! I exported a PDF 1.3 and now the text looks perfectly fine on the page!!! This is making absolutely no sense, is it?

Well I think I won't find a solution for this very soon … I've pretty much tried out everything I could. If anybody knows a solution feel free to post it. If I find a solution for it I'm gonna post it here of course.

I think I'll just accept the bolder text on the first page. Still better than having tons of white lines in the PDF due to flattening.
