It may sounds easy, but let me explain the challenge:

I have text formatted with a character style and now I want to change the case of just the first character of the word (using a script by Peter Kahrel https://www.kahrel.plus.com/ind….._case.html) BUT in most cases there’s no space in front of the word e.g.: „(firstname lastname)“. And the opening bracket is NOT part of the character style I’m looking for.

Does anybody have an idea how to solve this task? It must be really easy but I can’t see it.

      Use GREP.

bl will mark only the first character of a word starting with a lowercase. The b code marks a location, not an actual character, so it will work whether there is a space (or any other non-word character), or nothing at all.

Perfect. That's exactly what I was looking for. Simple and easy. Thanks.
