The one thing that I noticed during my trial of CS5 is that I really didn't like the way it highlighted/outlined every frame you passed over…. Turns out I accidentally bumped in to that in CS4 as well. If you are using the Type tool and click inside a frame and then hold down the command key while passing over any other fame you will get the same effect. All frame edges are shown as you pass over them. I still don't like it but it is funny that it already existed in some form in CS4 and then adobe must have decided to just leave it on for all selection tools. tsk tsk… if only i could hold a button down to turn it off. Just a random observation.

I believe I heard about that, I am still not a CS5 user. I think it was in CS4 but the default was off and in CS5 they turned it on, but from what i know its an option that can be turned off in the preference. You should take a look there.

You can't turn it off, but the highlighting only works with a selection tool. So, you can hold down any key that would switch the tools to a non-selection tool such h for the hand tool. Since the tools are springloaded when you release the h key, you'll be back to the selection tool. That would keep the frame edges from hightlighting.

I've seen some rather heated remarks about this over the last few months and I have to say, I love this feature. It makes things so much easier to find and select but I understand that some of you would like to at least be able to have it as an option.

If so, you can let Adobe know here: https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform&promoid=EWQQL
