Hi Nick,

Thanks for your reply – I have changed the setting in the preferences and now all is well, the book panel stays docked in the side panel and the home screen does not appear. The preferences must have defaulted to showing the home screen when I updated, and it wasn’t a preference setting with which I was familiar.

Thanks again – your suggestion has restored my normal working practice!
