Yes, we have had a few problems with the new site. So I think maybe a few forum posts have disappeared! That is very strange. I will check with the developers.

If I recall, I had suggested you use this tip:

Figure Numbering in InDesign (and cross-references to them)

and then you can also do a Find/Change afterward to change the cross-references from “Figure” to “fig”. That is a simple solution, but of course if you update the x-refs, then you will need to do the Find/Change again.
