Lightroom 4 Added to Creative Cloud
Photographers now have one more reason to consider joining Adobe’s Creative Cloud, with the announcement that Lightroom 4 is now officially one of the application offerings.
For $49 per month, subscribers to the Creative Cloud get a range of services including 20 GB of online storage, Typekit web fonts, plus access to the following applications:
- Photoshop Extended
- Photoshop Lightroom
- Illustrator
- InDesign
- Adobe Muse
- Acrobat X Pro
- Flash Professional
- Flash Builder
- Dreamweaver
- Edge Preview
- Fireworks
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- After Effects
- Adobe Audition
- SpeedGrade
- Adobe Prelude
- Encore
- Bridge
- Media Encoder
It is also expected that Adobe will continue to build the list of Creative Cloud applications and services. According to the announcement on the Photoshop.com blog, "Lightroom is just the beginning."
New features in Lightroom 4 include enhancements in image and video editing, plus new Book and Map modules.
If you purchased Lightroom in the last 30 days, you can get a refund of the purchase price if you buy a Creative Cloud membership. However, current owners of Lightroom are not eligible for the $20 per month introductory discount on Creative Cloud membership that was offered to owners of Creative Suite point products like InDesign, Illustrator, or Photoshop.
