Hi, I’ve been searching lots of videos for a clear answer to my question. I’m new to the Forum, but I’ve been working with InDesign for almost a year on a book that I hope to self publish very soon. I uploaded the interior of my book to IngramSpark and they returned an eProof for my approval. Upon viewing this, I noticed that the pages had slightly shifted. They tell me their system doesn’t cause this so I’m trying to figure out a solution. I set up my Master pages to have a 0.5in Margin on Top, Bottom, Left, Right. So, all the pages as I work on them, have everything centered. The shift I see in the eProof is to keep text out of the center fold in the book. I understand that, I think. But, it’s shifting incorrectly. It’s the opposite of what I need. When I view the pages as the Adobe .pdf, the left page seems to show a slightly larger border on the left side and a smaller one on the right. This should be the opposite, so the text and images don’t get pushed down into the center of the book which would have facing pages of course. The opposite is true when I view the pages that will be on the right side of the book. They are all showing the correct order for pages, even on left, odd numbered pages on the right. My big question after all this long description is this. How do I get this to reverse? Should I change the margins on my Master pages, or is there something else I’m missing? Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I hope this makes sense. Thank you in advance. -Steve
