February 2008 Artistry Retreat and Artistry GARTEL Marketing Seminar
Learn both the art concepts and Corel Painter steps for turning photos into paintings in Corel Painter at the Artistry Retreat, taught by photographer, artist, author and original Painter expert Karen Sperling, who wrote the first Painter manual when the program debuted 17 years ago.
Then learn to market your painted photos at the Artistry GARTEL Marketing Seminar, taught by Laurence Gartel, who has exhibited his art in galleries and museums internationally, and who has created commissioned portraits, for over 30 years.
The next Artistry Retreat and Artistry GARTEL Marketing Seminar will be February 25-29, 2008 at the Villa Graziadio Executive Center at Pepperdine University, in exquisite Malibu, California, high atop the Santa Monica Mountains with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean.
In the Artistry Retreat, Karen helps photographers who have never had art classes learn to paint by explaining art topics like how to choose colors in addition to the Painter tools and brushes for creating paintings from photographic portraits and landscapes.
In the Artistry GARTEL Marketing Seminar, Laurence offers out-of-the-box marketing solutions to photographers who either have a portrait studio or who are interested in selling painted photos and paintings in other ways. Laurence’s ideas are custom-tailored to each individual student’s interests and aspirations.
