Adobe InDesign sprung onto the scene as a competitor to the venerable QuarkXPress. As a newcomer, it can be considered a success, and as an Adobe product its market-share is only likely to increase. Immediately noticeable is the familiar interface, so familiar, in fact, that George Penston says, in his review: “At first glance, you may think you are in Illustrator 8.0.”
