There are dozens, if not hundreds, of blogs, forums, and Web sites devoted to typography. Here are my top ten:
Ilovetypography
This rich typographic resource by “Johno” is designed to inspire its readers and to make people more aware of the typography all around us. Also check out its new little sister, welovetypography, for more type-related content and typographic eye-candy.

Typophile
Typophile is an open typographic community with discussion forums and resources for type design, theory, and technique for professionals and beginners.

Typographica
Typographica, edited by Stephen Coles, is a review of typefaces and type books, with occasional commentary on fonts and typographic design.

TypeCulture
A rich typographic resource (as well as a digital foundry) by type designer and educator Mark Jamra. The academic resource section is a directory, archive, and educational aid for design students, educators, and professionals seeking information about type’s history, manufacture, use, and artistic significance.

TDC | Books on Typography
Type Directors Club President Charles Nix has compiled this list of books on typography. Browse the rest of the TDC site for some tasty typographic tidbits.

The FontFeed
The FontFeed, produced by FontShop, is a daily dispatch of recommended fonts, typography techniques, and inspirational examples of digital type at work in the real world. It includes News, Handpicked Typefaces, Type Tips, and Fonts in Use.

The Elements of Typographic Style Applied to the Web
Robert Bringhurst’s book The Elements of Typographic Style is on many a designer’s bookshelf and is considered to be a classic in the field. This site, conceived by Richard Rutter, applies Bringhurst’s principles to the Web.

TypeRadio
Typeradio is a radio channel on type and design, with dozens of interviews you can stream or download as podcasts. For a directory of interviews, go to https://www.typeradio.org/loudblog/index.php?archive=show.
A List Apart
The site “for people who make web sites,” A List Apart contains years’ worth of interesting articles from a variety of contributors. Search for “typography” to locate dozens of type-related articles, many with wonderful illustrations.

Twitter
Twitter might seem like an unlikely addition to this list, but it’s rapidly becoming one of the most varied and interesting resources for typographic sightings, whether print, Web, or motion graphics. Follow your favorite foundries, designers, and bloggers. Sign up for the typography twibe to focus on type-related posts, or search for “typography” to filter type-related posts and links.
And don’t forget CreativePro.com’s Fonts section, as well as my own site, The Type Studio, for educational PDFs and links to other typographic musings.
