CreativePro Magazine
CreativePro Magazine is the essential HOW-TO magazine for graphic designers, marketing professionals, art directors, educators, production specialists, and every creative who uses pro tools such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, and PowerPoint.
Filled with practical, real-world tutorials written by experts, CreativePro Magazine provides independent, valuable insights into how to use these tools more efficiently and design more effectively.
CreativePro Magazine is published as a monthly PDF available only to Professional members. (Note: The premium articles that appear in the magazine are also available individually on CreativePro.com to all Professional and Starter members.)
On November 1, 2021, InDesign Magazine evolved into CreativePro Magazine. While we will continue to publish articles about Adobe InDesign, the topics will expand to include Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, fonts, design, PowerPoint, Affinity software, automation, PDF, print, digital publishing, and more.
However, CreativePro Magazine continues to be brought to you by the same editorial team that has published InDesign Magazine, InDesignSecrets, and CreativePro.com for over 15 years, including David Blatner and Mike Rankin, with input from our advisory board, including Anne-Marie Concepcion, Erica Gamet, Gene Gable, and more.
The magazine and its articles will continue to be published both as a PDF and online, available only to members.
Just as a carpenter uses more than one tool to build a house, designers construct amazing documents not just with InDesign, but a whole toolbox of apps. So, after 150 issues of InDesign Magazine, it’s time for us to start covering more of the tools that you use.
By bringing you great content on our five core topics — Design, InDesign, Photo, Illustration, and Presentations — we’ll keep you current with all the tools you need to be successful.
Yes. InDesign Magazine issues 1–150 will always be available to paid subscribers in the Magazine section of the CreativePro website. The majority of InDesign Magazine articles are also available as individual articles on CreativePro.com.
If you love Adobe InDesign, don’t worry: We’ll remain the world’s #1 resource for InDesign users. This evolution is all about expanding the magazine, and offering more tutorials and insights into the tools creative pros use.
All articles, templates, and other resources from InDesignSecrets.com were merged into CreativePro.com in November, 2020. [Read more here.] All episodes of the InDesignSecrets podcast are still available, and a new episode will continue to be published each month.
We want subscribers from around the world — from Argentina to Denmark, from Japan to New York — to be able to read our magazines in a timely and affordable manner. By bypassing the need to print, warehouse, and ship a paper version of the magazine, we can keep our costs down and get you the best information as quickly as possible.
Another reason we chose PDF over print is that it allows us to insert hyperlinks in each issue, making it easy to access additional information on the Web.
Of course, we understand that not everybody likes to read on screen, so we’re also exploring ways of providing a print version of the magazine to subscribers in the future.
InDesign Magazine and CreativePro Magazine are independent publications, not Adobe products. InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator are registered trademarks of Adobe Systems Incorporated.
Membership
Sure! We were students once; we know how it is. Students and faculty members at accredited schools can get a discounted subscription (proof of current enrollment or employment by an educational institution is required). Download this PDF Order Form for pricing information and ordering options.
CreativePro membership is based on the honor principle. We ask that you please don’t share the magazine issues or other premium resources with friends or colleagues. They can always download a free sample issue and subscribe to the magazine if they think it will be valuable.
If more than one person in your workgroup or company would like to read InDesign Magazine or CreativePro Magazine, you can get a multi-reader site license.

InDesign is an extremely complex piece of software, and it’s not always obvious to figure out what might be going wrong. Here are some links to help you out:
- Often, when InDesign is acting oddly, we find the best answer is to rebuild your preferences file.
- Some videos about troubleshooting
- All our Troubleshooting articles in one place (note that some of these articles require a paid membership)
