If you have a document with lots of manually kerned character pairs and you want to use the kerning script, you can use this script to create kerning tables that can be used as the kern script's data files.
Open a document and run the script. The kerning tables will be stored in the document's folder. The file names are formatted as 'kern_' + typeface name + '.txt', which is the format used by the kern script. A separate file is created for each typeface. For details about the structure of the kerning tables, see the kerning script.
Be aware that on long documents the script takes a long time to finish.
25 Jan. 2019: Fixed a bug that affected CS6 only.
10 Dec. 2017: Complete rewrite. Script is quicker, and writes kerning tables that can be used directly in the kern script.
