I Thought I would make my own Business card. I thought it was an ok design for someone who doesn’t know more than a few classes on Lynda.
No one gets the Idea behind the email being a website too. they also think it’s missing something and that it’s ugly. I was trying for simple and clear guess I failed.
If you could let me know what is wrong that would be great thanks.
Sorry for the Look of the Logo. No Other Document has done this but maybe this is a great place for mistakes :)
Ps: The Logo Read “bringing, Offline, Online

Hi Mathew, are you looking for technical help here, or design suggestions?
When I saw the card, I immediately understood what your email is. Clever!
But the logo should not look so bad. My guess is that perhaps the logo was not linked properly in the Links panel? Maybe it is modified or missing there? -

Thanks
It’s funny to me to have your reply because you’re a little famous to me teacher!!! :)
When you suggested to me the Links Panel I remember your class and checked again. No, It is linked correctly; It was very Important to me when I saw your class that I follow the Links system. (love it in my newspaper I’m making)
Even though that is a current problem when I publish the printed and PDF result doesn’t show this low rez issue.
My real need is the fact that no one likes it. they say it needs more; it’s missing something. I felt very happy with it because it was simple and what I wanted. I also felt the slogan of the company is all the information one needs to prompt them to if interest in bringing their business online (Simple and to the point I thought). but now I Can’t print simply because of all the bad response to it.

That is very strange that the logo is not working if it is linked properly in the Links panel. If you export to PDF, does it look correct in the PDF file?
As for the business card design, my suggestions are: make the logo a little bit bigger so we can see it and read the text under it at the business card size. Also, you should move the name Matthew in from the side of the card a little bit (it is too close). And, I think it would be helpful if the phone number were in the lower right and the name “Matthew” were moved to the left, so that it “reads” left to right. Currently, the reader has to read it “backward” — the eye doesn’t like moving right-to-left (except in languages like Arabic or Hebrew).

The screen shot at the dropbox link below is how my eyes want to scan the card. Which doesn’t immediately make sense of the information.

I would also make the logo larger, and perhaps the blue field behind it as well.
I would rearrange the info on the card as well. I would slide “Matthew” to the left under the blue box/logo. And the rest of the info cascade down and to the right. I would also suggest if you wish to keep this arrangement of the hierarchical indented information, to perhaps also make the at symbol larger.
