Mastering the Image: Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and InDesign for Photographers and Designers

The first two-thirds of the class will be how to leverage the awesome and non-destructive power of Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop to bring out the emotional punch of your images. During this part we’ll also get a chance to showcase some of the amazing new features of Photoshop CS4 that make enhancing images easier than ever. In the final two hours we’ll see how to take these images and lay them out into a handsome portfolio using Adobe InDesign CS3 and CS4. Among the new features we’ll explore will be exporting your InDesign portfolio to SWF and using Acrobat Pro 9 to build PDF Portfolios.

Scott Citron is an award-winning graphic designer and principal of Scott Citron Design in New York City, specializing in fine book design and corporate identity development. SCD clients include Adobe Systems, Random House, HarperCollins, Insider Software, Tower Imaging, GSL Publishing, Walker & Company, American Jewish University, and Black Dog & Leventhal Publishers. Scott is an Adobe Certified Instructor in InDesign, InCopy, Illustrator, and Photoshop CS3. His training clients include such top names as The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, TIME Inc., the United Nations, the Guggenheim Museum, Random House, Simon & Schuster, MTV, Target, and JP Morgan Bank.
Scott is the head of the New York chapter of the InDesign Users Group, and has taught design at Parsons School of Design, Pace University, New York University, Fashion Institute of Technology, Cooper-Union, and the Type Directors Club. He is also the author of Professional Design Techniques with Adobe Creative Suite 3 by Adobe Press.
