New Rights-Managed Image Library Launches

Pixelvan, a boutique image library, representing many of the cream of Australian and New Zealand photographers, was launched today.
Announcing the launch, Pixelvan’s co-founder John Maynard said “This is no ordinary photographic library. The photographer’s we represent don’t fit the mold of the normal stock shooter. They are creative, talented professional photographers, who already shoot premium campaigns. Many work internationally for advertising agencies, graphic designers and large corporations and have won international awards for their work for those clients.”
John went on to say that he and co-founder Julian Watt have over 20 years experience in the photography business and this give them a unique insight into identifying images that has the ability to work for major campaigns.
Julian Watt said “We are passionate about great photography and are very selective. We believe in the power of great imagery to capture the attention, imagination and aspirations of consumers.”
“We see photographers as creative artists rather than production machinery and we established Pixelvan to provide great photographers with a library that respects them and their work. The payoff for clients is a selection of great work without the also rans.”
John Maynard said that Pixelvan’s emphasis was on quality not quantity. “Our photographer’s might not produce huge quantities of images but they do produce beautiful, eye-catching images. ”
“We also edit and edit and edit again.”
“We aim to filter out the dross leaving images that will stand out in a market that is already awash with dull and predictable images.”
“We understand how precious time is. We strive to deliver a service that avoids trawling through countless stock-standard images.
