Get Credit (and Cash) for Your Online Photos with Imgembed

For a long time, designers and photographers have faced a dilemma when it comes to placing images online. You want your images to look their best, and you want them to get a lot of attention. But at the same time you also want to ensure you get credit for your creations and prevent any unauthorized use. And it would also be nice to get paid for those images somewhere along the way.

A new site called Imgembed aims to address all those challenges by offering image embedding services very similar to what’s availabe for videos.

To start, you can upload photos from Instagram, Flickr, or Facebook to Imgembed.com where they’re displayed with embed code that users can copy and paste onto their own websites to display your photos.

Users then pay a price which depends on two things: a rate that you set and the number of times your images are displayed on their site. Imgembed takes a 30% cut of the earnings.

Embedded images are automatically accompanied by an attribution, ensuring the creator gets proper credit. And there’s no charge for up to 10,000 views when photos are displayed with attribution.

Built in analytics allow the tracking weekly or monthly usage stats and earnings.

You can also control the addition of watermarks and permissions for each photo and site.
