The script merges all tables in a selection. This selection can be a text frame or two or more tables selected within a text frame. The selected tables need not be contiguous, but they must have the same number of columns. I don't know how the script fares with merged cells.
Select a text frame or two or more tables in a text frame and start the script. It has no interface.
