Adobe Paper Textures by Russell Brown
You can completely change the mood evoked by an image by adding textures and blend modes in Adobe Photoshop. And one super cool way to do that is to use the Adobe Paper Texture Pro panel, which you can download from Russell Brown’s website. Or, if you’re a CreativePro member, you can get it as part of our 10 Great Scripts for Photoshop downloadable.
Even though it was created several years ago, it still works in Photoshop 2023.
Since it comes in an extension file, the process for installing the panel is different from that of other scripts. Anastasiy’s Extension Manager is a great free tool for the job.
Once installed, you can use the included sampler set of twenty textures from Fly Paper Textures, and select blending modes to combine them with your images. You can also select a folder of your own textures and load them into the panel, and check out the video Russell has created demonstrating how to use it.
Why always are we relegated by Adobe=?
Just to say that you need to be a paid Creative Cloud member (also known as Creative Cloud Subscriber) to get this and other Exclusive products. At the time of writing there are just 2 Exclusive products but we plan to have lots more Exchange Exclusive not necessarily paid member exclusive products in the future.
We are not trying to alienate customers that have CS6 on a perpetual licence just let Creative Cloud members have some products as a simple thank you. they may not stay exclusive to paid subscribers forever.
What’s more important in my mid is we build a marketplace with products that meet your needs and interests. You can easily create products.

I use Windows PC. Just upgraded to Photoshop CC 2015.5. My Adobe Paper Textures is MISSING. I’ve tried everything to get it back. Can you tell me what is happening with your wonderful add on? I have friends who use a MAC and their version of Photoshop CC 2015.5 has it available in the Window/extensions menu!!!! Not on a PC. Cannot find any answers online or anywhere.Thank you for any help you can give me on this!
I’m having a problem adding my own textures to Adobe Paper Textures. Even when I try just one jpeg in a folder all I get is a white rectangle and spinning ball. Using Photoshop CC.
I’m using a mac book pro, when I go into windows in PS, no option for extension, or Adobe exchange, tried everything to no avail.
Spoke with Adobe help no joy there, what do you have to do to get this.
Hey Mike – not sure why this was included in the current issue (May 2023) Photoshop Scripts. It does not run on current versions since 2019.
Hi Kevin- I tested all the scripts and they all worked fine in 2023. Is there a specific one you had trouble using?
Hi Mike! The paper texture pro wasn’t working on Mac Ventura/PS 24.4.
So weird. I tested it on Ventura/PS 24.3. I’ll update and see if it breaks.
Yep, it works with PS 24.4.1. Maybe try reinstalling the extension? I used this and had no problems https://install.anastasiy.com
