Aquent Announces Acquisition Of American Graphics Institute (AGI)

Aquent, the world’s largest marketing and creative staffing firm, has announced today the acquisition of American Graphics Institute (AGI), a prominent firm providing training, consulting, and support relating to print, Web, video, and mobile publishing. AGI will now be known as Aquent Graphics Institute. The acquisition allows AGI to expand its services to Aquent’s already established global network of clients, and provides Aquent’s clients a valuable training resource from the leader in the creative publishing training field.
"This acquisition brings together two companies that could not be more compatible," said John Chuang, Aquent’s President and CEO. "AGI provides the training and expertise that our marketing and creative professionals need in order to succeed in the demanding business environment. We are now able to offer our clients not only the top talent in the marketing space, but the ability to train existing staff to enhance their ability to execute marketing communications more efficiently."
AGI offers classes for all Adobe software applications including Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Flash, Illustrator and Acrobat. Additionally, AGI provides custom and private training classes and consulting services that are tailored to meet the needs of organizations, including on-site delivery of training for added convenience. Aquent and AGI plan to expand AGI’s overall training offerings, including offering additional content and delivery options.
"We’re excited that AGI has become a part of Aquent and all the combined services the company now has to offer," said Christopher Smith, President of AGI. "This acquisition allows us to expand our training services globally and provides Aquent with creative training expertise."
AGI continues to host it’s annual Adobe Acrobat & Creative Conference, May 9-10 in Orlando, Florida. The keynote speaker is Al Gore, former Vice President of the United States, member of Apple’s board of directors and chairman of Current TV. He is joined by dozens of authors and experts who will deliver more than 75 information-packed sessions relating to print, Web, video and PDF publishing technology. Information about AGI’s creative conferences can be found at www.pdf2007.com.
AGI’s headquarters will remain in Woburn, Massachusetts, and information on the company’s training schedule and services will continue to be found on its website, www.agitraining.com, as well as on Aquent’s website, www.aquent.com.
