Announcing the Beorcana Typeface Family, TDC winner 2007

Beorcana™, a new serifless roman (or calligraphic sans) typeface family by Carl Crossgrove, is a winner in the Type Directors Club 2007 type design contest, and a Judges’ Choice. Beorcana is available for purchase exclusively at www.fonts.com. Also this month Mundo Sans OpenType Pro was announced on fonts.com. Both families include large character sets and robust typographic features. More information can be found at www.beorcana.com  and at www.fonts.com.
Beorcana is the first typeface I am releasing under my longtime umbrella label, Terrestrial Design. This is a big month for me and for Terrestrial Design. Beorcana has been announced on www.fonts.com as a new foundry release, and at the same time, my humanist sans design for the Monotype Library, Mundo Sans, has been released on fonts.com in OpenType Pro format for the first time. All 7 weights of Mundo, both Roman and Italic, include small caps, oldstyle figures, a large European character set and other typographic extras.
In addition to the simultaneous announcements of these 2 robust OpenType families, Beorcana was chosen in the Type Directors Club TDC2 2007 type design competition, and was further honored to be selected as a Judges’ Choice! As you can imagine I’m delighted to have this honor.
Beorcana is unusual for a serifless typeface, having been designed specifically for text use. Books, magazines, forms and information design are enlivened by the clear forms and humanistic flavor of Beorcana. The Micro styles allow clarity down to 2 or 3 points, enabling use in constrained situations like dense cartography, dictionaries or bibles. The calligraphic style of Beorcana is suited to expressive display use as well, in corporate collateral, formal announcements, lively signage and powerful headlines. Beorcana Display speaks in a multitude of voices, from the gossamer Thin to the emphatic Ultra.
The OpenType Beorcana fonts include more than 1000 characters per font, supporting many Central and Eastern European languages. All 28 styles include small caps and oldstyle figures. Italic fonts also include two sets of swash caps.

Hi. Beorcana is beautiful. Can you recommend a monoline sans and maybe a slab serif to accompany it in a magazine setting? Any suggestion wool be grateful received.
