Adobe Enhances Behance

Last December, Adobe announced the acquisition of the online portfolio service Behance. At the time, there was speculation on how Behance would be integrated with Adobe’s other services and software. And now we’re starting to see some developments.

Yesterday, a post on the Behance team blog announced that paid Creative Cloud members now have access to Behance’s ProSite features, at no additional charge. ProSite offers users the ability to create fully-customized portfolio sites with their own URLs. Previously, ProSite cost $99 a year.

At issu.com you can find a 36-page Beginner’s Guide to Behance and ProSite with step-by-step instructions on how to get started and take full advantage of ProSite’s features.

The team blog post also announced that Behance will be offering additional “Pro” features over the coming year free to Creative Cloud members, and that some Behance community features will be integrated into Adobe applications in May. In other words, very soon you might expect to see new tools for uploading work to Behance portfolios built into Photoshop, Illustrator, and other applications.

Also coming up in May is a series of live, in-person portfolio review events for Behance members. From May 13–20, members can attend events in over 100 cities around the world to meet with their peers, show their work, and get feedback.
